Faculty of Informational Technologies prepares graduates for directions: “Applied Informatics” according to specialization “Applied Informatics in psychology” (Bachelor), “Software and administration of information systems” specialty “Information systems and databases” (Bachelor), “Directing of cinematography and Television” specialization “Media director, teacher” (Specialist),”Applied Computer Science” program “Psychological and pedagogical dimensions” (Master).

The educational process is provided by the Department “Applied Informatics and multimedia DSC_0392technologies” and “Applied Mathematics”, which has 30 teachers, including 9 Doctors of sciences and 16 PhDs. Students are taught to create, maintain and use applied software and informational systems, process and analyze experimental data, they also study mathematical modeling methods.

They also study mathematics, theoretical fundamentals and programming techniques (in different environments), the technology of creating and working with databases, theoretical fundamentals and technology of mathematical modeling, software tools for data processing and analysis, operating systems, Web technologies, artificial intelligence, computer graphics, information security, administration, information systems, architecture of computing systems and networks, information management.

Graduates are being prepared to work in information-analytical centers, educational institutions, research organizations, psychological, social and medical profile, the centers of psycho-medical-social support, health organizations, state and municipal authorities, organizations and companies involved in the development and maintenance of application software and multimedia, as well as the introduction of information technology.

IMG_1246The features of the faculty are project-oriented nature of student learning, their active involvement in research work and participation in solving urgent practical problems, which
ensures high quality training. This allowed students to publish a significant number of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals included in the List of higher attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (6 articles only in 2007), students also regularly win prizes at Russian Olympiads in programming, take part in national and international scientific conferences and other events, including the all-Russian Olympiad on programming in LabVIEW, International school-seminar “New information technologies and International student scientific conference “Informational technologies in modern life.”

P1050594A significant number of software products developed by students and graduates of the faculty are implemented and actually used in urban and Federal agencies and organizations in various fields. The faculty publishes a collection of scientific papers “Modeling and analysis of data and preparing thematic editions of a peer-reviewed journal “Neurocomputers: development and application”, included in the List of higher attestation Commission of the Russian Federation. With the active participation of faculty on the basis of MSUPE is organized and successfully works Moscow City Research seminar on mathematical psychology. Particular attention is paid to the development of modern technologies of mathematical modeling and data analysis. Over the last ten years in this field there are five published books and more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Number of new mathematical models for the analysis of age dynamics of psychological characteristics during ontogenesis and methods of psychological diagnosis were developed on the faculty.
